| There are stuffed figures taller than I am. That is quite sad. |
Over the weekend, I went to c2e2, a comic/entertainment expo in Chicago. As many of you already know, I am a huge comic book geek, and I've been looking forward to attending the convention for months. I had a blast and got oodles of action figures, comic book trades, and more comic book tees.
I had originally planned on wearing just jeans with a tee, since conventions are always crowded and stuffy. I knew I had to wear flats, and was right in doing so seeing that I was walking, bending, and reaching for about 5 hours straight. So, I planned my outfit from the bottom up. I chose my trusty Chucks paired with some knee high socks and then pulled out a comfy, stretchy skirt to match. The tank I'm wearing is one I got made and has a quote from one of my favorite comic characters, Layla Miller.
So, though I had tons and tons of fun in Chicago, it's time to go back to school and work. le sigh.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: How do you cope with the Mondays? or the Mondays after a fantabulous weekend?

Sounds the like the convention was fun! My husband was into collecting comic books too. Now it's just sitting in boxes.
ReplyDeleteI hate Monday, although I find that if monday starts off good then the rest of the week will be better.
I cope with Mondays by getting a date night, although it won't be occurring tonight as I am le sick. I'm glad you had a fun weekend, and I love those braids, super cute!
ReplyDeleteYou look Fabulous ! I especially Love the Hello Kitty necklace ! Mondays are hard, the best way that I cope is to mix in a bright color with my outfit or wear a cool pair of shoes.
ReplyDeleteCould you be more adorable?

those pigtails and knee high socks were imperative to a comic convention.
ReplyDeleteand to get over the mondays, i load up on the coffee and pretend its thursday, or something.
matters of merrymaking
OMG I LOVE YOUR SHIRT!
ReplyDeletei need to shirt..so whenever my husband argues with me i can just point to my shirt HAHAHA
i'm in love your hello kitty necklace.. i searched high and low for those with the nerd glasses but they were all sold out!
Oh wow! Talk about expanding my horizons! I have never been to a Comic convention and would never ever have thought about the right way to dress for one! How cool and unique! The only comics I enjoy are Axterix ( Les aventures d'Axterix & Obelix), don't know if you ever heard of them! They are French!
ReplyDeleteI hope a girl like you would enjoy joining

I go to mid south con this weekend with my husband and my kiddo is attending her first con ever ( at 7 wks old!) I love cons but I'm a huge cosplayer. Last year I did Miyuki from Lucky Star and a female variant of the 10th Doctor from Doctor WHO, but this year I'm making it simple because of kid in tow so I'm doing a black jedi outfit.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! My friend just moved to Chicago for a job, I can't wait to visit!
ReplyDeleteAs far as coping with Mondays goes... $3 margarita special at the local mexican restaurant. 'Nuff said.
CUUUUTE outfit! love the knee highs!
ReplyDeletemy mondays arent that bad compared to my tuesdays - on monday i have one lecture, tuesday i have 4!!!!
but a nice cup of tea usually does the trick anyway ;)
