I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend. I certainly did. Not only did I stuff myself with delicious morsels of food, I also had a blast meeting people and chatting up a storm. I'm not usually friendly, but the wine was delicious, and wine and I are good friends.

I had fasted the whole entire day because I knew I was going to have a feast (which I didn't have to slave over!) but after ONE measly plate, I was soooo full, I basically was anchored onto my seat for the rest of the evening. Thank goodness I wore a food-baby-friendly-top or else people would've constantly been asking me when I was due.

Did anyone go shopping on Black Friday? What goodies did you get? Did you witness any crazy riots over $2.00 wafflemakers

  1. Laura, I'm in love with the first photo! It's so beautiful that I keep staring at it. Weird, no? Haha!

Thankfully, I was on rest day on Thanksgiving. Skipped dinner with friends and fam and I spent it sleeping. Thank god for sleep! Haha! I don't get a lot lately.

The food looks so delish! Oh, I love that French wine called apple cider. We're bff's too. XD

  4. Oh my - flights over a waffle maker?! I just grabbed some bargains from Jo Ann but it was things I needed anyway, non of this lets go shopping to see what great things we could get. I'm not too good with sales shopping because I hate queuing generally!

  7. Haha, don't you just love feast friendly tops?? I am about to unearth mine from my closet as the Christmas season's looming. And my gosh, that plate looks delish! It's funny how when you've fasted in anticipation for a hearty meal which you wish to pile plate after plate, you end up with just one plate. That happens a lot to me as well haha!

    Cheers,

  10. You look gorgeous as usual, Laura! I am tres jealous of your foodbaby-hiding top and your seat in front of the muffins! I'm glad you had such a delicious Thanksgiving!
Luckily the UK does not have black friday or cyber monday (or Thanksgiving) -- but they do have Christmas fairs. Luckily no one has rioted over the mulled wine yet ;)
Hope you're having a great start to your week!

  12. Your dinner looked so tasty! Glad to hear it was. I was psuedo-sick on Thanksgiving, so I only made it through a fraction of a plate before I gave up. Luckily yesterday was leftover Sunday, so I got a re-do!

My mom and I went out Black Friday shopping for a secret present for my bf. We made out fine, but there was a fight in the back of the store over $5 memory cards. No injuries, but it's funny you mentioned $2 waffle makers as it wasn't much better of an item!

I had a great time and enjoyed some wonderful food. Yours looked amazing. The deals have been hit or miss. But I've caught some nice ones at Barnes & Nobles, Talbots, Archaepelago, Bath & Body etc.

  16. oof! Food defeated me, too! I've never been so full and should have paced myself. Thanksgiving comes but once a year, however!

  17. Haha love that!! Somehow everything I eat bypasses my stomach and goes straight to my butt/hips so my solution is loose sweats :)

  20. Food baby top hehehehe. Love it. I didn't do any Black Friday shopping. I'm a bargain hunter every day of my life but somehow, I just miss the plot when it comes to the BIG deals that everyone else seems to find.

  21. Oh man, I totally did not wear a foodbaby-friendly top on Thanksgiving. I should have known better ;) Your feast looks like it was mighty delish, btw.

I really like this outfit, Laura! Your flowy grey top is so pretty and the cuff on your jeans really adds that perfect-extra-little touch :)

Oh, come on. You, not friendly? I don't get that impression of you at all. Although, I do realize that we converse in the virtual world and not the real world :P

  22. Oh, you look so pretty in your outfit. And although we don't do thanksgiving, our Christmas is a giant feeding frenzy, so methinks I'll be wearing a nic flowy maxi dress to hide my food baby haha.

ps. Thank goodness you got rid of discus!! hehe

  23. Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving Laura :) Your dinner looks delicious! That's mad about people rioting over the waffle makers, but for $2 hmmm I think I would have wanted to go down and try to get one haha! x

  28. for some reason, even though we have tons of food, i don't really eat much. maybe because i do a lot of picking thruout the day that when the meal comes, i'm already full. those muffins look delicious, and your hair looks so long here!

did black friday, but people were decent. however, i saw some crazies on the news at walmart or some other store...

  34. The food looks great, can't believe you only had 1 plate. You look gorgeous in these photos Laura, did you do something different to your hair, def. looks sexy =) I esp. love the peek-a-boo yellow cami. We have been blessed with great weather here in Boston, it has been in the mid 60s all week long! We actually took a walk at the beach on Black Friday rather than get run over by crazy shoppers at the mall =) Hope you had a relaxing holiday my dear.

  35. You had a fabulous thanksgiving and OMG I want a piece of that turkey...hand it over! I am a wine enthusiast, I come home, walk 2miles and then pour myself a glass, preferably red, merlot.

  36. Lovely look! It's always fun to see what people have on their Thanksgiving plates. I just found your blog through your comment on another and was excited to read about your 6-Month Challenge. I know what you mean about shopping too much related to the blog and I commend you for your efforts. I'll definitely consider this idea....

  37. I really like this look, the jeans are a great fit on you, I've never really been a fan of Old Navy jeans but I haven't tried them in yeeeeeearrss. Years I tell you, yeaaars. Your hair looks fabulous too btw.

YUM at the plate of food. What is in that one muffin? It looks good.

Haha aww, I get super friendly when I drink any alcohol too. I didn't go shopping on Black Friday, I did however go shopping the following day and it was a bit crazy. I went to Old Navy and they had some really good deals, I got a super comfy shirt for $5. I didn't see any riots this year. The last Black Friday riot I experienced was in the search for a furby in like 1999.

Sounds like you had a great day and you look great sweetie.

  41. Delicious! That plate is full of yummy goodness! Makes me wish we celebrated Thanksgiving in Australia, just to feast on good food all day :D

And it's always a good idea to wear loose flowy clothing when you know you'll be eating a lot. I've been taught a lesson by wearing something that clings to the body and eating til I was too full to move. Not good!

  43. You look beautiful!! I love your outfit. It looks so comfy and fantastic at the same time. I too was defeated by one plate, although after cooking all day I was barely hungry.

  44. Oh seriously, I was so stuffed after Thanksgiving! This was the first year that I wore something loose, and I'm very very thankful for that! Comfort is definitely the name of the game for Thanksgiving dinner.

I didn't witness any riots, but Kohl's at midnight was fun!

  45. Great outfit! I love the top and I'm really digging the cuffed jeans. The whole thing looks GREAT on you! The food looks pretty great too:)

  48. Laura! Your top and scarf are so cute cute! =D I love that style for everyday!

And muffins, OMG! I can't resist pastries. I love crossoints too! :D YUM. Anything buttery is for me.

I didn't do much black friday shopping, thank goodness! The lines were ridiculous as hell. $2.00 waffle makers? I got a $3.00 toaster from Target last year! LOL It doesn't have that pop up dispenser that you'd normally expect from a toaster so I was appalled by that. Burnt toast = NO WAY! LOL
