For those of you who have reached this far in the post, here's a delicious treat you can cook up in a flash. Perfect for gifts or for high-calorie, eternal-regret snacking:

Chocolate-Covered Brownie Bites
Ingredients:
1 box of brownie mix and all the ingredients it takes to make them.
1/2 bag or 8 oz of chocolate chips. Please get the good kind. It's the only kind worth getting.
*optional 1 Tablespoon of butter
Directions:
1. Bake the brownies as directed. Let them cool COMPLETELY before even slicing them into bite-sized pieces. <-- this is probably the hardest step of the whole process.
2. Melt the chocolate chips. There are 2 ways of doing this
a. in a microwave-safe bowl, put the chips in and microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted.
b. in a double boiler, melt chips over a med-low heat.
*optional:after all the chocolate has been melted, and while it's still warm, toss in the butter for some shine. REALLY, the butter is just there for shine.
3. Dunk and coat the brownies in the chocolate. Set aside and wait for them to cool before nomming.

What are your favorite holiday goodies?

I love the yellow tank! I had one from f21 that broke a few months ago and I haven't found a good one since. I don't wear much yellow, but that particular shade of almost-neon makes me so happy
ReplyDeleteThe yellow cami looks great with the outfit and your pink lipstick looks really good on you :)
ReplyDeleteFavorite holiday treat? Peppermint bark or peanut blossoms!
This outfit is super cute on you (not whorish at all! Maybe more wench like? and I really, desperately want a brownie now.

If I were a cartoon wolf character, I'd totally be whistling at your legs. Never sell yourself short. You're a total cute-y with a great sense of personal style. I think you look great in tighter fitting clothes. There's no reason to wear them if you're not comfortable, but it's great and suits your shape!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea there were jalapenos in paletas. I swear it wasn't in the fruity one I had!
Love love love your shoes! Just adore your whole outfit :)

You look gorgeous, Laura! Just look at those gams, girl! I know what you mean about tight fitting clothes though. I avoid them also because I don't like being restricted when it comes to eating. I know most people are ambivalent about jeggings and leggins, but I love the stretchiness.
ReplyDeleteNote to self: make brownies now!

Look at you, rocking that hourglass figure! You look great, Laura! Good for you for venturing out of your comfort zone. Isn't it empowering? :) Okay, the brownie bites, just plain cruel, cause now I'm just drooling and craving chocolate! Argh! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's not garish, I love your lip color and the acqua is pretty subtle. I prefer looser fitting clothing, too.
ReplyDeleteThose brownies look positively sinful.
Aww, look at you, you look pretty. Definitely not whorish. I love the shoes and the combo of black and yellow, black and yellow together will never not remind me of Batman, for all eternity, black and yellow makes me hum the original Batman TV theme song.
ReplyDeleteBrownies, get in my tummy!
