A little bit of 90s Grunge... Maybe?

I was feeling a little bit "I don't give a damn" when I put this outfit together. This thrifted dress has quite a 90s quality to it, what with the higher waist, looser fit skirt, the length, and the mini shoulder pads. That with some leather, and you've got yourself a bonafide blast from the past ensemble. Right?

No makeup (ok, a slap of dark lipstick) and hardly combed hair... am I getting this period wrong?

  1. This is definitely something I wore in the 90s. I had a dress in a similar pattern and I would wear it with my Doc Martens or Chuck Taylors. I love this on you!

  3. Don't ask me why, but I get a very "Clarissa Explains It All" vibe from this outfit. Not a bad thing, I always wanted to be her (pet alligator and a cute boy just showing up at your window? yes, please!)

  7. You do the whole grunge thing very well. I tend to keep my 90s dresses plain or girly. I don't think I'd be able to insert the "I don't give a damn" vibe into what I wear and not look ridiculous. So, I'll just admire your outfits instead!

What's the print on your dress? I can't quite tell. Flowers or stars? Or something completely different?

  16. Sigh, I am not feeling like myself either. I have writer's block and don't want to read or write or anything. But you know I love this look on you, I don't know if it's the leather jacket or flower print dress, it just works. Kudos!
