Today is a precious day. I get to spend one whole day away from work (then it's back to the grind tomorrow) which I will fill with the loveliest of activities ranging from making bows and pins, watching an assortment of sci-fi movies, and making a ham dinner complete with from-scratch green bean casserole (even the crispy onions will be homemade) and creamy mashed potatoes. 

Because I'll be knee-deep in lovely things, it's only fitting that I blog about my favorite outfit of late. I want to live in this Banana Republic dress made of the softest wool blended with cashmere. It's so very comfortable and makes me feel like a sparkly princess. I've been looking for a nice pair of flat sandals that I can easily slip on for work, and these fake snakeskin ones from Express are really quite lovely. I was so pleased that I got them on sale for $15 over the weekend! I wanted to add more color to my outfit so I put on this skinny orange belt which also worked to define my waist. I am now convinced that I need more orange in my life. Stat. 

I'll be leaving you here for now, dear reader. I'm going to enjoy my very late breakfast of soft brie on a toasted English muffin topped with a healthy serving of homemade strawberry preserve and  few slices of chilled kiwi (separate, of course).
