Such a perfect dress to wear to see the movie...sorry you didn't enjoy it. I'm not sure if I'll see it or not...although I'm leaning towards not.

Oh, the weather has gotten so beautiful over at your place now.
ReplyDeletehaha, that's a really nice combination for the Avengers. I've watched the movie, and yes, it has really good animation.
hey laura, i haven't seen it but figured it would be a flop. thanks for confirming it for me. hahaha your dress is too cute girl! have a great week.

Ah gutted you didn't enjoy the film - i'm not a huge comic geek but I did rather enjoy it! I take most of how the film did by my guy. My guy who is a comic geek was just in the happiest place for the rest of the weekend after seeing that film. Even to the point of shouting out the Stan Lee cameo whilst the theater was silent lol.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! It is super fun! I'm not much into the superhero movies so I don't think I'll see the Avengers. I didn't even know too much about it until some other friends were posting about it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit, and I'm afraid I loved the film, sorry ahaha
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable. I like your dress, it's so cute!! I haven't seen the avengers, nor did I plan on seeing it actually.
ReplyDeleteLooking cute! love the red n blue combo and I adore your platforms!
ReplyDeleteWent to the movie in a skirt and pretended to be a good girlfriend to the boyf. Haha! Like Nic Nic above, I love the red and blue combo and the platforms.

This is really cute! I love the colour combination here.
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Sabrina
Mr. A wanted me to go with him to see "The Avengers" this weekend. I told him that I would go if he bought me a new pair of shoes afterward. We didn't go. I guess it wasn't worth that much to him, which sucks because I really wanted a new pair of shoes.

Oh, you're so cute!! I can't wait to see the movie, but since my babysitter (my sister) recently moved to Ohio, I'm screwed until it comes out on video. lol
ReplyDeleteAwesome da girl outfit! We were going to see the avengers Saturday but by the time we finished dinner it was way to Kate to catch the last show. Next weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, I love your feather clips! I'm not a big superhero person but my husband wants to see this so I think we have a trip to the movies in our future. Love the braided details on the dress :)
ReplyDeleteOk you look adorable and the outfit totally suited the movie! I am not very well versed in the comic book world but I would be positively sure that you are not dressed as a domino....what a moron?
ReplyDeleteI'm not buying into all the hype for this movie I don't want to be let down! I don't see the domino correlation not the first thing I would have thought of for sure. I like it especially the hair clips those are super cute!
ReplyDeletevery cute dress and I love how the neckline looks on you.
ReplyDeleteI love how you've customised the dress for the movie! :)

Love the hair clip! And what a fun dress :)!
ReplyDeleteI TOTALLY got the Thor-ness of the outfit, especially when I saw the hair clip. We haven't seen the movie yet, but boyfriend LOVES Joss Whedon, so I've promised to go.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that guy meant Domino like the comic book character? But she doesn't dress anything like that ;)
i cant belive you dont like joss whedon? thats a first for me, and that you didnt like avengers! how? why? no!?! lol but i guess everyone has their own view on things. and you have to remember super hero comic books are full of one- liners, i feel as though he really brought the comic book to life with this one. you looked super cute in the thor outfit!

I love the outfit. The colors are beautiful. Great hair accessory too. I am saddened that you did not like the movie. I have heard only great things from my friends that have seen it and I can't wait to go! Hopefully I won't be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteI love that you dressed up for the movie. Sucks for those that didn't get it.
ReplyDeleteDidn't go see the movie, although I thought that my husband would drag me to the first viewing. We will probably see it when it comes out on video.

Cute wing hair clip! And I haven't seen Avengers, nor will I (gasp)...but I am watching the BBC Sherlock series on Sun nights!

Lol, the superest domino there ever was! I'm secretly happy you weren't in love with the movie. I was feeling very pressured to see it and I really don't want to (I just don't want to see Scarlett Johanssen... however you spell it)
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit!! Perfect for going to that movie. I've heard the writing was a little iffy too.
ReplyDeleteA domino? What does he or she know! I think you look adorable! This color suits you perfectly. Thanks for the head's up on the Avengers. I admit that if I were to see it, it would only be so I could drool over Chris Evans! Be still my heart! :)
ReplyDeleteThe dress is so cute! I saw the Avengers! I love Thor! I adore the shot of the flower.
ReplyDeletewhat a cute outfit for a movie day! The shinny circles and wing hair pin is ultra cute! Love the super hero colors too, you are so creative! I haven't seen the movie yet.

Haha a domino- that's too funny! I love the sheen on the dress and your DIY clips are ingenious! My man wants to see that movie but I'm in no rush- superhero movies aren't typically my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteI do have a particular fondness for Joss's sense of humor (I'm pretty sure there is no way I would have survived middle school and high school with out Buffy) so I did see the Avengers and enjoy it, and I loved that the entire audience actually applauded when the hulk beat down loki.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, I love that you dressed up to go see the movie the winged hair clip is the best!
Chic on the Cheap
I love this futuristic dress, what a wonderful idea !!!

Not...a Joss Whedon fan. My heart is crying. BUT it is okay, because that is a sweet Thor dress! I am excited to see the movie when I finally get to it.
ReplyDeleteWe loved the movie. It was incredible. So funny to hear it from another perspective. I am such a huge fan of RDJ. He can do no wrong in my book. There were a couple of nauseating dialogue (between Johansson and Renner) but I loved all the corny one liners.
ReplyDeleteYou look great in this outfit, though.
Tracy
I think its so fun that you dressed up!! I especially love your wing hair clip, its so adorable. Sorry you didn't enjoy the movie :(

I think I'll skip it, but only because I'm not into the characters, love iron man though
ReplyDeletePretty! :) That photo of the flower is so good!
ReplyDeleteI love your Thor gettup, it's brilliant! We saw The Avengers this weekend and loved it, but I see your point about the one liners.

What Lola Wants
We've been talking about that movie over here, too. I had a feeling it would be a renter, but I think I would like to see it. Loving your little wing pin. How adorable is that?

I've seen the Avengers! I thought it was pretty good but at the same time, I feel like it could've been better? a little overrated perhaps. love the feather clips, so adorable! :)
ReplyDeletemetallicpaws.blogspot.com
Yep, I've seen the movie. It was free so I can't really say anything about it at all. Haha! So bias. It's something I won't spend my money on. It's good someone paid for the tix.
ReplyDeleteI have seen already the movie and my 2 kids laughing throughout the entire movie. But anyway, love your looks and earrings for today!
ReplyDeletewWw.FashionFitOut.com
Awww! I love both your Thor inspired looks. Such a cute idea, and I like the dress as a dress outside of the superhero look! It's a cute idea of revamping a basic dress. Sorry the movie was a bust. I haven't seen it, but I just recently saw Cpt. America and thought it was so-so, I didn't get through 10 minutes of Thor before getting pulled away and I haven't gone back to watch it. Ech, maybe I'll have an Avengers marathon when everything is out on DVD?
ReplyDeleteWe saw it too, Laura, and I sniggered through some of it to tell you the truth. Matt was really pleased with it thought (???) and I now realize it is 100% to do with Robert Downy Jr. We can see anything with that man in it (probably even his rehab days) and Mr. Mustachio would call it a hit ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm an action-hero novice, but why aren't there more lady kick-assers too? I feel like they were just like "Eh, stick ScarJo in a unitard and call it a day."
Love your Thor dress, Laura! You should totally be the next superhero!
xoxox,
Lar
i had to giggle at the domino comment...i love that you dressed for the occassion. i haven't seen the movie, don't really know anything about it. i did hear that it was good, though. cute little hair clip!
