I hope that one day I have a job that allows me total sartorial freedom. Can you just imagine posts upon posts of me in my jammies? I kid. But really, what I'd give to be able to wear whatever strikes my fancy whenever I want! Too bad I always have to look semi-profesh and dressed up at work. Dress codes are icky. For realz.
If you're getting tired of the snapshots of flowers I've been sneaking into my posts, I'm sorry. I can't help it, though! They're just growing EVERYWHERE. I mean, even my driveway is lined with them.
I concur with Courtney, it could be a suit! I have to wear a skirt/dress every day but Fridays but I don't really mind. Love this striped sweater and those cropped pants. Your hair is looking fierce today!
I have to "dress up" for work - so business casual. I don't mind, I like getting a little dressed up. Some days I do wish I could wear jeans and t-shirts every day though!
I love the striped top, it's cute and the color is nice too. And I LOVE flowers, so keep them coming!
I would tottaly wear pj's to work if I could lol To be honest I would always wear pjs if it was acceptable they are just too comfy! At least you can wear color to work tho I used to work at a place with a black, white and grey only dress code.
I, for one, am NOT getting tired of the flower shot! Keep 'em comin'! I was going to say I love all the green in these captures! They really represent spring, as do the flowers you've been featuring. I would love to see jammy shots, by the way! As I matter of fact, I insist at least one outfit post include pajama pants! ha! :)
The flower pictures are really cute! I wish there were still more flowers blooming around here, but they all bloomed too early! Your comfy outfit looks great. I really like your striped top.
I've always had a hard time with dress codes, specifically when it comes to appropriate footwear and appropriate necklines. I feel like there is something off with me because I find hardly any shoes I ever come across even remotely comfortable and if I do find them comfortable, they are not appropriate for most occasions. Anywho, I like this outfit, the pants are well fitted and the top is great colors (and stripes, <3 stripes).
I like this outfit a lot, I wish I looked so put together every day! We don't really have a dress code at work, though, and mixed with me being lazy... well it's good that no one posts pictures of me at work, lol
I too dream of maybe working from home. Right now I do have to look professional as well. I actually don't mind since I'm discovering new and different ways to dress up. I like the mix of pictures you put up with your outfit posts!! Flowers are always nice
You look so beautiful and chic in your comfy/proffesh duds -- I totally need to take a page from your book. I always assumed that if I worked from home I would at least try to make an effort, but typing this in sweatpants sort of works against me, huh? p.s. Love the flowers!
I think you always look good, Laura! Even if you can't always wear exactly what you want, I can always see your personality come through.
No dress code for me, I can essentially wear whatever. But, you know... fashion. I'm in heels a lot anyway. I actually really like suits, too, so that would never be a problem. I'd just be wearing them with leather an sequins underneath, ha!
our office is pretty casual...but we still need to look presentable. I wear whatever I want, but only because I think it IS presentable, lol!! I'm really loving your bangs! Love the aqua stripes.
I love the stripes, but understand the stinky-ness of dress codes. I'm lucky enough not to have one at the moment, but I remember the days of dress slacks and modest heels. Sigh. But honestly, you look very fashionable, and I love the top!
hi! i love hearing from you :) your comments really make my day. so leave me one, and let's be friends ♥ If you have a question you'd like me to answer, please leave your email addy in the comment box :)
At least you don't have to wear a suit everyday to the office! I think this is a work look - the top adds such a nice bit of visual interest to it.

I like the teal stripes. Since I work in an office we do have a dress code, but I don't think that it is very strict.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blog you have!! I had a look at lots of your outfits and must say you put the cutest pieces together! I love it when you curl your hair!

Yep, my office has a fairly strict dress code and I HATE it! Ugh. Until very recently, pantyhose were required (craziness, right?).
ReplyDeleteI do love your stripes:)
cat eye glasses: the perfect touch to any outfit!
