I love you, but you don't know what you're talking about

After a month of postponing, I finally watched Moonrise Kingdom. And, oh my gosh, was it adorable. I won't go into it, since I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I'll say this:

I think that Sam and Suzy's lovestory is akin to my own: ridiculous but endearing, punctuated by bouts of madness (insanity AND frustration).  I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. My husband and I like so many similar things but are so completely different that most of the time, our stock response to each other is: "I love you, but you don't know what you're talking about."  It's so true.

Have you seen Moonrise Kingdom?

  5. I still need to see that movie - all my past plans to hit the theater for it fell through. Sigh. Also, love the outfit. Those booties are especially cute.

  7. I really want to see Moonrise Kingdom. My friend said it was awesome. It's not something Matt would want to see, though, so it's been added to my "for Redboxing" list.

Also, I love your DIY bracelets! Especially the ones with the little circles in them.

  21. there's such a safari chic look about this outfit! :) your purse and belt add that perfect extra pop of colour. as for my ankle cuffs- haha thanks for confirming that another blogger also found them uncomfortable! now I know it wasn't just me. I've seen them on a few people before but they never mentioned the comfort factor...didn't know if they only popped them on for a couple of snaps or what xD

  22. Isn't it so good, Laura?! I love that movie to bits and now want to go see it... again!
I love your orange and sagey green combo you have going on here -- and booties and shorts! That's what I want to wear in Scotland (still a bit chilly for that, I'm afraid). Your palette almost matches the Moonrise Kingdom tone too! (Oh wait, you probably did that on purpose ;) drrr... lovely either way!).

  35. Laura! I love this outfit. And floral prints that look like watercolor. You're making me wish I could wear ankle booties and not look goofy. Maybe I just haven't found the right pair.
