who's a caffeine fiend?

DSC01420DSC01434DSC01423DSC014301DSC01432DSC01418

Sometimes, I find it hard to believe that I don't drink as much caffeine as I used to. During my college years, I would guzzle pots and pots of coffee just to be able to keep up with studying. I ultimately bought an espresso maker that broke within a couple weeks. Yes, I may have overworked it.

But ever since I graduated, I haven't felt the need to imbibe. I don't even miss its flavor or aroma. Every once in a while, I'll indulge in a Spanish latte to treat myself to an early morning perk-me-up, but I have to be extremely exhausted or unmotivated to even consider getting one. Are you a caffeine fiend?

I still have a couple of outfits backlogged from before I got my haircut/color. So you'll be seeing my all-black hair for just a little bit more :) Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

  1. I am pretty much totally useless without my morning coffee. But then I don't drink it again all day, except for maybe an iced coffee at some point on a summer's day. Also, I am dying over that pleated skirt - seriously, what an awesome thrifting find!

  2. I guess it depends... I like to drink a cup in the mornings and if I don't get my morning cup, then I almost always have to get an afternoon cup. And sometimes I get an afternoon cup even when I do have a morning cup. So,yeah, I guess I'm a caffeine fiend. lol

I love thank floral tank and pleated skirt and all the colors you're working here!

  3. I do like my one cup of coffee in the morning! I'm good after that though usually. I treat myself on the weekends to a latte usually, never had a Spanish one though!

Love those pleats! And the color is lovely too, perfect shade of blue!

  4. I don't drink much coffee, though I have started drinking diet soda in the past year. I know it's bad for me, but now that I'm used to it, I can't resist!

  5. You look so retro glam in these photos :) I love the bright blue together and that's a super pretty floral pattern! I've been trying to cut down on coffee latel...but succumbed to a cappucino this morning.

  6. I am in love with your amazing thrifted skirt. It's brilliant. I drink coffee from time to time - I do enjoy the different creations of it. I try not to drink it too much b/c of the nasty caffeine habit that can occur!

  8. I love those earrings!

I drink coffee every day, although sometimes I switch to black tea. (Lavender Earl Grey, ftw!) I usually only have one cup, though, or if I miss it then I might get an espresso drink from a cafe later on in the day - sometimes it's an indulgence. The weather here kind of lends itself to coffee drinking, and well, I do live in Seattle, so...it's everywhere!

I actually didn't drink as much coffee in college compared to now...ironic. But, I had terrible habits in college to make up for my lack of energy. =P

  15. Well the reason college kids need so much caffeine is because you're always running late to something. School? Work? Party? Something! Anyhooo I'm in love with this skirt...umm...yes...um...you should open a shop...and um...all of your followers can shop your closet...and when I say all of you followers I mean....just sell your stuff to me:) haha I love those earrings...they go perfect with that top!

  16. I'm not much of a caffeine fiend, I actually try to stay away from it! I get a bit from tea and chocolate, of course ;) Love this maxi skirt on you and your pretty summer florals. Cute!

  18. I don't really drink coffee at work or at home much but I can never resist a coffee in Starbucks.. I guess it's because they do more exciting flavours! Love the pleated skirt, the colour looks gorgeous on you :)

  24. Oh I am glad you have cut down on your caffeine! 6 years ago I was addicted to diet coke, I too was at uni! The last few years I don't consume ANY caffeine! SO bad for you! So I am glad you cut it down! ;) You want to glow as beautifully as your clothes do! So bright and pretty! I hope you have a beautiful weekend too darling! :) Zoë x

  25. Blues and florals -- so pretty ladyloo! As for the caffeine... I haven't had a drop for about 3 years now. It makes my heart race (I have a teeny heart murmur) and so I stay away from the stuff. I always tell people I am naturally caffeinated ;)
Hope you are having a lovely weekend!

  26. Ohh such a pretty and unexpected color combination! I love the blues and florals paired together, that thrifted tank is lovely and a perfect match with the gifted earrings.

I'm pretty addicted to caffeine. I almost always drink two coffees on weekdays, if I don't the afternoons are so tough!

  27. Pretty outfit. I love the flavor of coffee but have to limit myself to one cup a day because it makes my heart pump too fast. I drink several cups of tea as a substitute.

  28. I was the same way- in my first 2 years of uni I loved coffee and now I never drink it- it gives me a headache and I don't love the flavour- hot chocolate for me :) Very pretty outfit- those earrings are fab and that skirt is incredible- bet you can get a lot of use out of it!

  29. I am totally digging the color combo of your cardi, belt and skirt. The earrings are kick-a$$! Hmmm coffee. I love it. I'm not going to lie. I love macchiato's, espresso's, Americano's...but, I've got a health reason to avoid caffeine :( so I don't drink it anymore. It's decaffeinated drinks only for me. I love the smell of it. I love a really awesome coffee with a sweet breakfast. Cappuccino's after a good meal are sometimes a favorite as well. Yes... I may be an addict. An addict who's trying desperately not to fall off the wagon lol.

  31. I like to have coffee in the mornings if I have time, but generally, I can live without it. What a perfect skirt you thrifted!

  32. I guzzled it in college too, but these days I just need my one cup in the morning and I'm good to go! I am adoring this outfit so much I can't even put it into words...haha. Definitely another favorite of yours...but didn't I just say that about your last outfit?! Your posts just keep getting awesomer and awesomer...ok, totally not a word, but you know what I mean:)

  36. I'm loving this new layout! I've also fallen for that pleated skirt. I don't drink much caffeine anymore when I was in retail I used to drink 2 redbulls (so not good for you btw!) but that caught up to me pretty quick!

  37. Oh no! About the espresso maker breaking, I literally love coffee daily, but probably drink more tea actually, which is hard to believe. That skirt is gorgeous on you! Have a lovely week.-xx

  38. I love your thrifted skirt- so pretty! I've also noticed that I've been drinking less coffee than before, but I think it's because I've started to get a little more sleep!

  39. I LOVE coffee, it's an everyday thing for me! Also love the blue on blue royal & electric go together so well, and the floral print top ties it all together :)

  40. I'm a complete caffeine addict but I never could get into coffee, I'm a tea and soda gal. I like the taste of milk and sugared coffee but it tends to really mess up my stomach. I like your outfit, you have pulled off the effortlessly chic look to a tee, I love pairing shades of blue/green/blue-green (look at that color wheel knowledge... mmm impressive haha).
