I feel like I look really scrappy in these photos. It must be the early morning lighting, my "I'm barely awake" face, and the nasty "fade into orangutan orange" color my ombre highlights are taking.
C, a friend of mine from grad school, confessed that my personal adjective, in his opinion, was "scrappy." And I think he meant pugnacious since the conversation that ensued after that was about how we both would be characters in a noir-ish detective story, he being the cranky, semi-alcoholic, always disheveled private eye and I being the argumentative, ultra-organized and stylish secretary.
The skirt! I wish awesome crime movie secretaries wore cute panda skirts. I would if I were one. Alas I have no secretarial skills that I know of (well I can tun a computer on, is that a skill?)
ReplyDeleteLaura, you are the DIY Queen! Your panda skirt is fabulous! Total score on the bike belt too. Such a fun outfit.
ReplyDeleteI really like these photos, but I also really like the private eye alternative-universe you just described. But I think my favorite think is that adorable panda skirt. And it's DIY? Look at you, lady! The outfit is darling. And now I am crazing froyo and sushi for some reason.

I think you look awesome in the photos - that little bike on your belt is also just insanely cute and I love that blouse and skirt paired together.

That bike belt is so cool, and I like the panda print too! You look adorable as always! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with this outfit. What AMAZING thrifting finds!!! I want that skirt too. How cute!!
ReplyDeletePanda skirt! You could wear that to an SF Giants baseball game and everyone would want to buy it! Pablo Sandoval's nickname is Kung Fu Panda but Panda for short. People wear panda hats to the games. So, be careful if you decide to come to SF with that cute skirt on.

I love this whole look, especially pattern mixing with the panda skirt.
ReplyDeleteLaura, what's not to love about this outfit? All the way from the panda skirt to the bike belt! I think we're always a bit more critical of ourselves than we should be, and you, Ms. Laura, are being too hard on yourself. You look beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThis skirt is all kinds of fun Laura!
ReplyDeleteStars and pandas - lookin' good, Laura!
ReplyDeleteIt's always amusing to imagine oneself as a character in a detective story, isn't it? You and I would get along so well!
