But on to more profound topics. I know that red denim is sooooo 2011, but did you really expect me to be on top of that? Yes, I'm one of those people. The ones who know and watch the trends come and go and then months and years later, when everyone is wearing turquoise skinnies and peep-toe booties, finally decides that the red skinnies party needs more people in its camp.
So there. I finally got a pair.
I'm right there with you on the late to the party game with red skinnies! Just got my first pair a couple of weeks ago too. You're not alone! I love how you styled these!
ReplyDeleteHee hee! Welcome to the red pants party! They will become a favorite in your wardrobe :) You rbow belt is amazing too!

ReplyDeleteI think your red jeans are darling. I'm absolutely someone who doesn't give up on a trend even though everyone else says it was last season. It all depends on what looks good on me and what I feel good in.

Haha, I'm right there with you. I've finally decided that, yes, I would like to own either a pair of red jeans or red trousers, but finding the right fit and ultimately length has proved difficult. I don't know, sometimes I try not to be too trendy, but obviously there are going to be certain things that I like right away. I've often found fashion to be too overwhelming and intimidating to follow from season to season.
ReplyDeleteAck! I forgot to say how awesome this outfit is! I want you to know that you've been giving me a lot of inspiration lately :)
ReplyDeleteI still love red denim! Tried some on at Old Navy this week, but totally did not fit. I'm a major fan of the stripes and bow in this outfit, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm behind in readings, so I had to go back to find your announcement, but I have to say: good for you!!! Nothing is worse than a thankless job. And it's so sweet of your husband to completely back you quitting!!! Love the red pants and that bow!!
ReplyDeleteLaura, honey, no matter what the year, red jeans never looked so good! Forget the fashion rules. Make your own as you go along because you are Fabulous with a capital F! Love the bow belt! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the red skinnies on you - and good luck with the job hunt!
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
That's so funny, I feel like I'm the same way! I always love being the odd one out in what I wear, it's a little adventure in fashion!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I think I missed the red skinny thing the first time 'round so I'm so glad you are resurrecting the trend, Laura! And it's not even a trend -- I say it's classic. Especially black and red.
ReplyDeleteA bit slow on the uptake, but re: your previous blog post, huge congrats to you for quitting! I whole-heartedly agree that life is too short and spending time doing something that is nimbling/chomping at your soul is a no-go. If I weren't between jobs myself at the moment (stupid, ephemeral moola), I would totally buy up everything in your shop!

I will forever love red denim...haha. Plus, I really think red, black, and white and such a classic and fun combination and looks completely lovely on you! These photos are so pretty Laura - love your edits on them :) xo marisa
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous colours together- so classic!
ReplyDeleteOff to your last post to read the good news!!! xx
i don't think red denim will ever be out of style. at least i hope not. especially when it's paired with stripes and the cutest bow belt!!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable. I'm so happy you got to leave that job. You seemed so frustrated there. I say "poop on the trends". Wear what you like when you like it. I think that's the surest way to ensure looking your best. ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit, that actually inspires me to wear some stripes with my red jeans - honestly, I forgot how cool it looks! And that belt is too cute! If you ask me, red denim NEVER goes out of fashion. I don't care what the experts think ;)
ReplyDeleteI just checked out your Etsy shop, gosh there are too cute things ;) I may persuade my mom to order me a thing or two this weekend ;) Lots of love! ♥ xoxo
Cute outfit Laura!! I love my red denims too hehe. I never thought I'd be wearing colour denims but I have actually 3 pairs now haha. Oh I really like how you mixed striped with your polka dotted bag!
