I can't believe it's already the week of Thanksgiving. Where did November go? In fact, where did this whole year go? I thought that if I just relaxed a bit here and there, time would ease up a little and I could catch up on what needs to be done later. That (flawed) mentality explains why I'm only getting my day started right now. At noon. Obviously, I'm having a hard time grasping the concept of time.
I'm also having a hard time getting into the "holiday spirit" when there isn't any snow in the ground. And it's not even that cold yet. Looking at the forecast for the next few days, all I see is clear skies and moderate temps. WHERE ARE YOU, WINTER?
I hear you on Thanksgiving creeping up really fast and the year flying by! It's definitely been a year of changes and craziness for me. I love your Hello Kitty purse :) Did you make it to Forever 21 this weekend? Heather
ReplyDeleteYes! Time is flying! And I'm with you - I wouldn't mind a little snow, the Christmas season is going to come up so quickly after Thanksgiving and it's not the same without snow!
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty pink pants and the adorable bunny pin you made!
1. I hear you on the November and the 2012 thing. It freakin' vanished in front of my eyes.
ReplyDelete2. Don't encourage winter! I know we need it for Christmas cheer, but....but it's going to be around for a long time after Christmas. D:
3. LOVE the colours here!
I don't want to encourage the snow too much. I like a little, but don't really want to be getting my car stuck in any snow banks (again) this year.
ReplyDeletelove your cute pin with your pants! adorable :)
ReplyDeletei feel the same way. time just flew by this year.
for me winter is november to march which i love..but i am not very fond of holiday season. it was pretty chilly over here..but i'm going to enjoy mild weather while it lasts. ;)
i know...so weird. it's kind of a repeat of last year; i'm not seeing too much snow in the blogosphere! but what is a repeat is how fast this year went by...again!!! love the cute little pin, laura!
ReplyDeleteWe got hit with a huge snowfall in Edmonton and now the temperature is dipping - be patient, I'm sure winter will be along for you soon enough...and then you may have to put those awesome wedges away for the season. Which will make me sad.

laura, this year has gone by too quickly! too quickly i say! i haven't been able to enjoy the holidays because everything is happening so fast. hahaha LOVE your pink pants and bunny pin! It's gorgeous on you!

It's a bit chilly here in CT and really don't mind that there isn't any snow (anymore) on the ground. I agree that this month just came and went, and it's already holiday season.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding. November flew by, and so did the rest of the year. Lovely color blocking. I really like blue and pink together. (lol) Who doesn't?

I also can't believe it is already Thanksgiving! I for one am glad to hold off the winter temps for as long as possible, though. I hate snow and cold weather!
ReplyDeleteCOME HERE and I'll show you winter haha! :)
ReplyDeleteYou looks so cute! That bag!
Love the hot pink pants. I just got a coral pair and put them aside for spring, but maybe I'll break them out early.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think November seems to have gone quickly because Thanksgiving is so early this year. At least I think it is.
haha maybe it's a good thing it's not too cold yet! your cupcake bunny pin is sooo adorable. not sure if I want to eat it or pet it though :D

I always thought of Thanksgiving as a fall holiday, so I'm glad it's so nice and non-snowy out! It's supposed to be 60 here all week! But on the subject of holiday spirit, I'm so not ready for all the Christmas stuff I'm seeing in the stores. It's not even Thanksgiving! One holiday at a time.
ReplyDeleteI love your hair here, and I really like the eye make-up you just posted on Instagram. How do you do all of that? I know you've posted an eyeliner tutorial, but maybe a hair one too? Or just come up regularly and do my hair and make-up for me, since I'm clearly incapable? :)

ReplyDeleteThough I've actually been excited for holidays, I just recently got into the Christmas spirit this weekend after putting on tunes and viewing window displays. That cupcake pin is adorable. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. -xo Madison
ReplyDeleteWhatt sandals? Oh I'm jealous. I know. November? December? What?
ReplyDeleteYou look so colorful! It's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI like the pink pants. I am fine without snow, since I am enjoying the warm weather.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pink pants! And the HK bag- of course, love seeing that ;)

It has been warmer this year which doesn't bother me as much because it means the kiddo can play outside more at school. I'm going to be powering through this holiday week with work in several different forms. If only it could feel like a holiday for me.
ReplyDeleteomg new layout!! SUper cute, and very you! XD
ReplyDeleteLove those pink denium with your muted jacket and top. Missed your blog, Laura!
Hah, how about I mail you a little bit of snow? (I'm more than willing to share!) ^_^ It is crazy that it's almost Thanksgiving, it's like where did October and November go? Each year it sneaks up faster, I'm just waiting to turn around one year and having Christmas roundhouse kick me in the face in July.
ReplyDeleteYou find the most insanely cutest Hello kitty stuff ever, that purse is adorable! (I think I'm getting cavities from the cuteness.) That pin is crazy cute as well, I kept trying to decided if it was a bunny wearing goggles sitting in an egg and then I read your description, cupcake bunny! And wow, the green hair just keeps getting better and better looking, it sounds silly, but it has such a natural look to it.
I know how you feel!! I feel like the year went by in a flash and I barely got anything done! hahaha. I wish there was snow and winter for the Holidays here in Panama... hope you get some colder weather soon. You look so cute as always Laura, I'm loving your adorable brooch :)

I know!!! It's insane how quickly the year has flown by. Insane.
ReplyDeleteLoving that hair! ♥ And your bag is super adorable! It looks great with the sweet outfit ♥
ReplyDeleteI know how you're feeling!! It's 70 here... Too warm to enjoy baking and Thanksgiving!! But at least Black Friday shopping won't be so cold? :)
ReplyDeleteWell your fun bright look certainly brightened my dreary winter day. I'd trade our weather for yours at least for a little while. It's so cold, wet, and dark here all the time right now. :(
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen of color, I adore these pink pants and the color of the scarf is fantastic. That hello kitty purse is too adorable for words! I heart the pin too.

What I love about this post is how REAL it is. Small town country shopping sounds good in principle but often the fantasy doesn't translate into reality. Oh well sounds like you made the most of it anyways! I'm sure your gift recipients will be thrilled with the effort you put in.
ReplyDeleteNovember's about to end. This year just flew by!
ReplyDeletelove how you do colour blocking with minimum effort :D
ReplyDeleteI love how you've created a pastel look that's autumn appropriate. Winter will be here soon enough (officially less than a month!), but I did delight in the dusting of snow we got here the other day. Since writing this post has your little corner of the world received any?
ReplyDeleteTime has been a strange concept for me this year, too (for a multitude of reasons) and I am hesitant to see 2012 come to an end. End it must, though.
