can't take these saddles off

Check out les saddle shoes, aka my current favorite pair of shoes. These pups were one of the two pairs of kicks I scored from Urban Outfitters' Black Friday sale, and I haven't been able to peel them off my feet since then, which is probably a good thing since these bad boys have no traction to speak of, and I'm pretty sure they'll be the cause of all the slipping and sliding that is bound to happen if worn whilst walking in the snow.
In other news, only two more weeks until CHRISTMAS! Though my house is still barely decorated, I am ready for holiday baking! Please share your favorite holiday dessert or cookie recipes with me. I'd love to give them a shot!

  2. These shoes are seriously awesome! I loved saddle shoes when I was little, and these are a nice grown up version.

I did quite a bit of baking this weekend, but our family's favorite cookie are the peanut butter blossoms with hersey kisses. Heather

  7. They are classic style shoes. I still have my old pair. Love this outfit with your hair colour, it has sort of an animated colouring that I love! xx

  9. I want that cardigan! So cute.

The closer it gets, the less I'm feeling this whole Christmas thing. I haven't even thought about what cookies I am going to make this year. Also haven't begun decorating. Honestly I probably just won't bother. I'm not a total Grinch, it just doesn't feel like it's been a year to celebrate.

  11. I don't have a favorite holiday cookie recipe! Gahhh. But I just made really awesome salted oatmeal butterscotch caramel cookies (a mouthful in more ways than one, haha!), and I'll probably make gingersnaps or sugar cookies or something soon. And cheesecake! Mini ones. Covered in raspberry or cherry sauce...yummmm.

  20. Oh, no-traction shoes are pretty dangerous! (I cant count the number of times I've ended flashed the people at GCI because of my stupidity in wearing skirts and shoes with no traction on the ice.) These are some pretty awesome saddle shoes though, they just might be worth the danger!
