I'm being a slight overachiever this year with my holiday decorating. Remember when I told you that my basement was flooded and a ton of our belongings were wrecked? Yeah well, that included all ours ornaments and christmas decor. I didn't actually realize this until after Thanksgiving when I went to look for some lights to string around the house. Totes bummer.
But instead of being mopey and buying stuff, I decided to take this opportunity to use what I have at home to make some cute decor! Check out these adorable pastel paper trees that I have displaying on one of my end tables. They cost me a grand total of $0. I have the super easy DIY project complete with pictures in this month's issue of The Fox Magazine!
Oh my goodness, these are so sweet! You clever thing you! Did you make the bows, too?
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I wish I had a space to decorate, lol, but might try making one anyway
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute, Laura! The year's about to end and I haven't even done any DIY! I feel so bad! I've long been wanting a floral headband. Maybe tomorrow.
ReplyDeletethey are lovely!
ReplyDeletethis actually makes me want to make something with my own hands this year. :)
These are absolutely adorable Laura! I love doing projects like this for the holidays. It's rewarding when you do something for your home. Bonus that it cost you $0!!! Heather

ReplyDeleteI love it!! so cute! Sorry about your ornaments and decorations though!
ReplyDeleteOh nooo! I'm so sorry about all of your decorations. I would be so sad to lose everything. These little trees turned out so cute though. And you really can't beat a decoration that costs $0.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about the flood, it's great that you were able to use your talent and creativeness to make some pretty decorations - they are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteOh what a bummer! I would be so sad. Most of my ornaments are from my childhood! Were the trees easy to make? They look like the took a long time!!
ReplyDeletemy workplace also got flooded due to the storm this past month. but i'm glad you made a fun project out of the loss. those trees are awesome!!! love it!
