Whenever I order Asian food, I always ask for it spicier than the spiciest option since it never seems to be spicy enough for me. This time though, the extra spicy pad see ewe was a bit too much, and I subsequently consumed a huge bowl of rice and a bucket of water to tame the flame in my mouth. Well worth it though. Totes well worth it.
Do you like spicy food?
I love spicy food. Like you, I always ask for it extra-hot 'cause they don't believe someone who looks like me really wants that.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is cute. Each of the elements is something I'd choose to wear, too. They go together nicely.
Yes, I LOVE spicy food! Great outfit, really love the skirt/sock/shoe combo :).
ReplyDeleteI am not a spicy food person at all! The photos of your food are great though. I appreciate good food and I love seeing your pictures. Love love love your outfit! Heather
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Your ordering style is exactly like my husband's, Laura! The only thing that was so spicy it made him cry was a dish he got when he was in Thailand. Otherwise he can handle it all (even though waiters often look skeptical at him: white dude with a 'stache).
ReplyDeleteAs far as food photos go, I didn't even notice you posted a lot because it is my norm too! Life (and therefore blog) is life without food and food photos!
Love your subtle animal print outfit going on slash how in the world are you only wearing a cardi outside?! Scotland is a wee bit (just a wee bit) too cold for that.... in the summer. Wah wah.
Hope you are having a fabulous week!

I still get weird looks whenever I order extra spicy. Maybe it's the green hair, and they can't place me, but it never is as spicy as I want it to be! Oh gosh, it's been super warm here lately. It was 70F just a couple days ago, and now it's 40 but raining. So cardigans are still perfect for outerwear!
DeleteYou'd love the thai restaurant/takeout we always go to - I'm normally really good at handling spice but there even the medium is burning your mouth off. I guess they are living up to their name of Siam Spicy! I love the look of that mango mouse - mango's are my weakness, in fact I made my favorite mango curry last night. Tasty tasty!
ReplyDeleteI am terribly at handling spicy - I would have died with that much spice! And love the white skirt with the leopard tank - super cute.

I wish I remembered what I did with my Target ruffled skirt. I have the peach one and I can't for the life of me remember where I put it. Hope I didn't donate it...
ReplyDeleteI'm such a weenie when it comes to spicy food. It's not my tummy that can't handle it, it's my mouth and eyes. Even mild food makes me cry a little.
Man, I shouldn't read your blog so close to lunch, you make me hungry! I'm teasing - I love your food photos! Thai food is one of my favorites, but I'm wayy wimpy about spices. I have an iron stomach, but I don't like it when my lips get tingly!
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving your hair - and that meal looks like my idea of heaven. I love spicy food too, the hotter the better xo
ReplyDeleteI love spicy food, and Thai food is one of my favorite types of cuisine!
ReplyDeleteI love spicy food. I usually order Asian food on the spicier side, but since I am in MN that still doesn't mean that things are super hot. I think most Minnesotans are afraid of spice.
ReplyDeleteI like spicy food, but my husband loovvveesss it. He always asks for spicy when we go out for Thai or Indian food.
ReplyDeleteYour hair and skin are frickin gorgeous, and I love your outfit!

What a perfect outfit, the ruffled skirt and the leopard top are stunning together :) Me and my man love spicy food, too! ♥
ReplyDeleteI LOVE spicy food and can never have enough of it! Thai food is especially wonderful and I so want to try Pad see ewe - never had it before! All those photos of the food look heavenly so much that I am craving thai food so badly right now!
ReplyDeleteI love that little ruffly skirt on you Laura! xo Marisa
mmm spicy. drunken noodle is my fav! love the frilly skirt with the spicy print top! and well.. as to food porn, i told someone at lunch today that taking pictures of food is an asian genetic trait. i got some confused stares.
ReplyDeleteomg liz! It's so true!!! When my sisters came to visit me and I took them out to lunch, we all took our cameras out and snapped each of our dishes.

Inside and Outside Blog
P.S. I'm hosting a glasses giveaway on my blog here check it out!
I like things that are a little spicy but that are not going to blow my head off. There is an Indian restaurant in my city that asks my spice-loving uncle if he wants it Canadian spicy or Indian spicy. He tried it Indian spicy and nearly died. Also once upon a time I worked at a sub sandwich shop. There was a mentally disabled dude who came in everyday. He LOVED spicy food and upon his request I would make his sub with all the hot peppers and spicy sauce. He would come back to the counter face beet red, just sweating and tell me it was the best sub he'd ever had.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I love that there is a demarcation between Canadian and Indian spicy! I think they asked my husband something like that before too, but it came out being to spicy for him anyway. Some people really do like it HOT though. I think some things like hot pot or pho are best enjoyed super spicy hot!

Yes, I do! I want my chicken biryani extra spicy!!
ReplyDeleteWe have this chipotle garlic seasoning that I sprinkle on everythinggg. I'd say I have a fair tolerance for spicy food. I like a little heat, but I don't like when something's so spicy it makes me sweat or cry :P
ReplyDeletePretty little outfit, by the way!
those socks totally make the outfit!
