Yesterday we got dumped a helluva lot of snow. It's a good thing I got these photos before that happened. After getting a good look at all the ice that had accumulated on my street, I decided that the best way to spend the day (and today, looks like) was to stay indoors and cuddle with my kitties while reading comics and playing video games.
I've been glued to my PS3 for hours these past couple weeks never since I picked up Katamari Forever. And you know those warnings about epilepsy and whatnot you read at the beginning of every single video game? I never thought they were truly worth heeding until now. Not that I started jerking and seizing in the middle of playing, but I definitely have been getting a lot of headaches afterwards. I guess I need to wean myself off of the games for a while.
My husband got me this dress for Christmas, and it's one of the comfiest dresses I've ever owned. I love the high collar and the fact that this dress has POCKETS, because let me tell you: I have the hardest time coming up with ideas on where to place my hands when taking outfit photos. I end up including whatever bag I'm carrying for the week in almost every single picture because... HANDS! we have them! what should we do with them?
Laura, I already told you this on twitter but it bears repeating--you look fabulous! I love the color of this dress and the neckline! Swoon! The fit is absolutely perfect and I love the little boots you've paired it with. Now why can't I find boots like this at the one thrift store that exists in my neck of the woods? Sigh. I live vicariously through you! Happy weekend! :)
Your dress is lovely, and reading/video games sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day! Skyrim is calling my name, but moving preparations prevent me from playing. I am jealous.
That dress is ADORABLE. Good taste on the part of the Mr.! Also, I LOVE dresses with pockets. It seriously makes me squeal when I try on a dress that has POCKETS. They're useful, man!
What a cute dress! Props to your husband! Nothing makes an outfit much better than having pockets on them..pants, skirts, dress...gotta have them..especially for photo taking!
Have you trained your husband Laura or did he come just naturally fashion savvy? That dress is super cute. It's amazing how some snow and ice can bring the world to a stop. At least you've got fun (albeit headache triggering) game time to keep you busy!
OMG, just found your blog and you are adorable ! Love your original style, your hair...and the blog design ! Following you right now on GFC ! Stop by mine anytime, hope you'll find something you like too and maybe follow ! Kisses from Italy
That dress is adorable, what a sweet gift! The collar with those big buttons is insanely cute. And oh my god, I know! Pockets make picture-taking so much easier!
Wow your husband has great taste because this dress is a beautiful cut and suits you so well. The oversize buttons and bright colour are very you. I also love the little extras - the key necklace, your funky glasses and how you've pulled your hair back.
I TOTALLY agree about pockets. Even my wedding dress has pockets. Yay!
Dresses with pockets are the best dresses. This one's certainly a beauty. The color, the collar, the buttons! I never know what to do with my hands when I take outfit photos. Or my face. haha.

Three cheers for pockets! I love them on dresses, too, but they are hard to come by.
