I was craving something sweet and creamy, which usually means a frozen yogurt run complete with all the yummiest of toppings I could imagine. But my sister convinced me to try an Acai bowl with her instead. And oh em gee, you guys, it was delicious. Move over, froyo. There's a new kid in town. And he is tasty!
This is the Tiger Shark bowl, and my favorite part is the mix of seeds and nuts in it! Harmonious and oh so freaking delicious. I was super pleased that the fruit was really fresh too! It's hard to find good, fresh produce here in Alaska, and the fruit in this bowl was superb!

Thank you all for your kind words! I spent most of yesterday just relaxing indoors, ingesting meds and lozenges, and sipping on tea. I feel a whole lot better, but I still have a little bit of a sore throat and a stuffy nose. Hopefully, I won't be blah for long!
Have you tried acai before?
Looks like a great place and the food looks yummy. Hope you feel better <3<3

Glad you are feeling better. I have only had acai berry juice, but this looks a whole lot better!
ReplyDeleteI really, really want the veggie breakfast burrito that's advertised on the board behind you. Oh, and I also want to borrow your awesome glasses.

So I actually just started reading the menu and deciding what I wanted and then I was like wait... I'm not near Alaska. Nuts and seeds are not at all my thing, but the Reef bowl sounds good. The Mofo one, too, and bonus because I giggled when I just typed that.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I've ever tried acai before- I've seen it, but the siren song of frozen yogurt is irresistible. I'll try it one day though, now that I've heard a positive review of it!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself! At least you're in a comfortable place, which hopefully means you can get over it faster :)
ReplyDeleteOH, man that looks DELISH!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're starting to mend! It's so horrible being sick on vacay. Happens to me all the time.
The tiger shark bowl looks delicious and just what you need to start feeling better!
ReplyDeleteGaaaah! That looks so good Laura! I wouldn't mind a bowl of that. hahaha Definitely different then what we have. Enjoy and Happy Weekend!

That looks sooooo yummy!!! I've never actually tried raw Acai-only in juice form, but I should scout out someplace here that sells it too!

That looks delish and super healthy too! I'd totally go for the "reef" bowl...now I want some super fresh fruits. Glad you're feeling better...because you HAVE TO!! Go to more Alaskan adventures and post them!! lol
ReplyDeleteOooh, yum! It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this type of stuff around before but it really seems right up my alley.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your sweater. Looks so so so cozy.

Nope, never tried it. I'm totally behind nuts and seeds, but fruits and berries aren't really my thing. I'm not a big fruit eater. It's mostly a texture thing.
ReplyDeleteThat tapestry in the background! Also, your studded blouse is pretty badass. I like the placement of the studs on the collar tips. I saw a great little button-up blouse the other day that had pyramid studs for buttons. I should have scooped it up...
i've never tried it! but it does look rather tasty :)
ReplyDeletelove your sweater mumch!
