Oh, hai!

I don't know if you remember me... I used to blog here, or so I thought. Total truth: I forgot about the interwebs. Ok, that's not the total truth because I've been  do online gift shopping for days now. Total truth-truth: life happened. How unglamorous is that? The holidays are always a hectic time, but this year I have honestly not had any extra time to read blogs. I did an impromptu craft show last week, and though it was totally worth it, prepping for it and now fulfilling custom orders took over my life.

B was gone all of last week, so you'd think that I would have no problem getting my act together, but it turns out, I'm an old person and fall asleep promptly at midnight, no matter what day of the week it is. I tried that "waking up early" thang, but it apparently only makes me crankier than I already am. I'm not gonna fight it.
Enough with my sob story, though. I just wanted to assure you allz that I still wake up every morning and put clothes on. Winter is my favorite season to get dressed because I just love layers and socks and boots and all the things that keep me warm-ish. I have been dreaming of  a proper winter cape for months now, and sadly this lightweight blue one from eShakti was all I had... until a few weeks ago when I scored a gorgeous one for a steal! Pictures soon, I promise.
Is it snowing at your end of the rainbow? It snowed "balls" here last night. I put balls in quotation marks because, meh, I've seen more snow (said the girl who careens into a ditch because her car isn't winterized). To be honest, I'm a little terrified of driving around since the roads seem to be super slick and not quickly tended to.  I'm just hoping I make it to the post office sometime today to send off pressies!

  2. Ugh, red lips on you is just SO PRETTY. SO PRETTY, YOU HEAR?

I hate winter, Laura. I hate it. LOL. But then I grew up in Hawaii so I do not have the skillz for this layering thang, and I'm always cold, and I hate it. It looks so chic when done well, though, like you always do!

  4. So cute! Winter dressing is my favorite, too. I will not have any photographic evidence, but I feel cute today in a dress with a sweater over it. It's snowing a tiny bit here, but nothing noteworthy. Not bad enough that I didn't pack up the ferret for pictures with Santa.

  5. Urgh the snow's been hideous here, plus add in the fact that the apartment managers are refusing to shovel/dig away at the snow because it's a Saturday and they can't do anything about it - so they say, so it's 5/7" deep in the footpaths.

The roads were awful this morning too, no one could could see the lanes, so it was going between 3 and 5 lanes on the freeway because no one could really be sure just what was *meant* to be there. Sigh.

    Roll on spring!

  7. I adore the hello kitty outfit. If I'm honest, the interwebs and I have become strangers, passing in the night. I miss it. :( It sounds like your craft show was a hit. Congratulations! Hoping you much continued success for the new year!

  8. I love dressing for winter too. Hooray layers and cozy cute clothes. I definitely understand life getting in the way of the internet though. I'm just now getting back into the swing of things like actually reading all the blogs I like to read.

P.S. That color of lip tar looks awesome on you! I may need to wear that one today!
